Many people consider Incline Village (Incline Map) to be the best Tahoe destination. Incline is a planned community nestled in the mountains along the northeast shore of Lake Tahoe. It offers a wide variety of activities. The Incline Village Recreation Center features a large indoor swimming pool, sauna, racquetball courts, aerobic equipment, and many fitness classes. The center also has computers connected to the internet, ping pong, and shuffleboard.

WINTER visitors will discover that Incline Village is centrally located close to many ski resorts (Ski Resort Map). The Village is home to Diamond Peak, and Mt Rose is just 15 minutes away. Northstar-at-Tahoe is within 20 minutes while Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Heavenly are about 35 minutes away. Cross country skiers can enjoy the nearby Spooner Lake resort, and kids will love the sledding hill by Tahoe Meadows along Mt Rose highway.

SUMMER visitors will appreciate three beautiful Incline Village beaches that are available exclusively to town residents and guests. Just 3 miles south of the Village is idyllic Sand Harbor State Beach.  Also, recreation opportunities are offered by two championship quality golf courses, an 11 court tennis complex, and abundant hiking trails including the Tahoe Rim Trail.  Mountain bikers will find Incline Village to be the closest town to the famous Flume Trail. Boat rentals are available from Action Watersports near the Hyatt.

Visitors to Incline Village can choose from many fine restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines. The Lone Eagle Grille features fine dining and live guitar music by local favorite Luke Stevenson Wed-Sun evenings. Gourmet food with a view of the Lake can be enjoyed at the Big Water Grill.  Visit Le Bistro for creative French cuisine or dine at La Fondue for a fun and unique eating experience.  The Wild Alaskan Fish Company has excellent seafood including Copper River salmon at reasonable prices. For quality Italian food go to Azzara's or for terrific wood fired oven pizza try Tomaato's.  Asian foods can be enjoyed at the Thai Recipe and China Wok restaurants. Yoshimi Sushi offers an outstanding all-you-can-eat sushi special. There are many Mexican restaurants in town including Hacienda De La Sierra and T's Mesquite Rotisserie. The Wildflower Cafe serves a traditional breakfast. Mister Z's Lake Tahoe Candy Company has delicious home made candies and ice cream.

Nighttime entertainment may be found at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino. Families can enjoy Incline Bowl, the only bowling alley in the North Lake Tahoe area. Movies are shown at the Incline Cinema. In the summertime, the critically acclaimed Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival comes to nearby Sand Harbor.

Town amenities include two of Lake Tahoe's best sport shops -- Porters and the Village Ski Loft. Shoppers will find interesting and unique items at the Potlatch gift store and the Tahoe Store emporium. The Art Attack Gallery is one of the best places to purchase fine arts in the Lake Tahoe area. A large Raley's supermarket is open 24 hours a day, and an excellent selection of movies can be rented at Video Maniacs.

Incline Village is only 45 minutes from the Reno, and is the closest town on Lake Tahoe to a major airport.
